EDIT, again: Just because it's a POS that cost $220,000 doens't mean it's exotic. I wonder what is their freaking definition of exotic?
 
world record for fastest electric car is something in the 240mph range, IIRC. I saw it on Ripley's Believe it or Not. It used a bunch of C cell batteries, and was shaped sort of like a bullet, with a bulge at the end. it dies after 3 minutes, though.
