why is population DECLINING 2040-2050?

The only place I see it declining is in Europe. It makes sense.. the more educated you are the less likely you are to have kids. There are alot of countries that have birthrates nearing or below replacement, and when that happens, the population will start to decline.

You can mostly thank third world countries for huge population growth these days.

It will be a while before we reach carrying capacity, long after we are in the ground. I'm more concerned about disease, natural disaster or war than population worries.

This is why my SO and I have decided that if and when we decide to have kids we will adopt 😀

That's easy to say until you look at the cost. Most adoptions are $20K -$30K+. Why would someone in middle class or below opt to spend 30 grand to adopt when they could make a baby for practically free?

I believe it's all China & India, population in Korea, Japan and some other asian countries are on the decline I believe.

Chinas birth rate is under 2 at this point (weren't they only allowing 1 child per couple?). Their population will be declining as well.
