Slow loading top-ad no longer causes screen to jump! VICTORY!

Also super thanks to mod(s)/staff that fixed it.

Newb, get chrome plus Adblock plus. I can't believe people still surf the net and tolerate its ads. That said somebody needs to create a decent browser with ad blocking for iOS.

Some folks have no control,

It was better before. With adblock the ad was invisible and didn't cause problems. Now whatever was done to remove it has thrown off the formatting and it's a big empty blue space.

Didn't browse on mobile, didja?

What's important is that the big empty blue space stays the same size during and after loading so you don't tap on the wrong thing. I use adblock too, but I understand if a company selling ad-space doesn't care about offending my aesthetic sense while I'm depriving them of revenue.

I'm very happy that was fixed. I bet 99% of the clicks on the "PC Gaming" forum were from people attempting to click on "Off Topic" and the screen shifting just before they click.

Some things you forget that are there for other people...

And, flaunting our disregard of the site host wanting revenue...

Now since I see the blue extra scape wasted anyways, might as well add exception to ABP and make ALS some money. Maybe even click it a few times a day, I visit Newegg multiple times a day anyways...

the ad is often something really unusual for me. I guess my browsing behaviour is sometimes erratic. Usually its newegg even though i only go once a day to check the daily deals. probably because i spend so much time here.

That blasted banner was the last straw that finally motivated me to install adblock plus in Chrome.

Afraid there's no going back.
