Possibly, assuming:

woman == person in relationship with the lesser earning power and the greater nurturing side

Nope. Men and women are equal now. That means that women get to spend all day shopping and spending her husband's money, and when the husband comes home he has to make dinner and clean the house.

Correction: the woman's place is to cook, clean & care for children, and work too! She should do it all, while men just work. :)

It's not her place, but it is her job in the marriage. Not having clearly defined roles leads to gender ambiguity in the marriage adding a good amount of stress. Without having clear roles of what the husband/wife should be doing goes against natural instincts/order and robs each partner of the accomplishment and sense of pride to provide what is they are hardwired to do. The wife provides what she's good at and "should" enjoy and get joy out of, the man provides the same.

Thats the way it is in our house (as it was in my parents), however as her job has longer hours, I tend to help out with cooking dinner or bathing the kids etc when I get home...Honestly, child care is so expensive, it isnt worth her working only to give it to a stranger looking after the kids...

Don't worry guys, this new thread was stuck behind a firewall from the early 90's and accidentally popped on. I already PM'd a mod to check out the problem.

lolz for 6 months tops you get that...I prefer to cook anyway. My wife has like 6 stables she makes well, rest is a disaster. (follows directions, surefire way to fail at cooking)

That's pretty much the way it was in our house.

I worked, my wife stayed home, raised the kids, kept the house.

in 36 years of marriage, (ok, 36 years next week) she's MAYBE worked for 7 years total.

Don't kid yourself Boomer, she has worked for all of those 36 years. ^_^

OP, it's not "the woman's place to cook, clean & care for children". It is the responsibility of BOTH parents if BOTH parents work outside of the home.
