My new house was built in 1890... seems pretty solid. Electrical and furnace were redone 15 years ago, and pretty much everything else about the house has been renovated on the inside to modern standards. $77k for just shy of 1600 square feet, decent sized yard. It's in a town of 7k people, but only ten minutes from a major city.
