Telltale's The Wolf Among Us based upon the Fables comic book series comes out tomorrow. Like the Walking Dead it's episodic. The launch trailer is here:

Gamespot has the first review I've found (8/10):

I thought the Waling Dead was really well done so I'll be picking this up at launch.

Edit: Ign review (9/10) up:

I'm buying this today. The Walking Dead was my 2012 GOTY for sure, and I can't wait to see what they've done here.

I'm glad TellTale is being creative and experimenting with different IPs rather than churning out more Walking Dead content.

What kind of disappoints me is the price. It's $25 for the PC, but you can buy the first episode on consoles for $4.99 and then the rest for $14.99. Steam has a 10% discount right now, but it still isn't as cheap.

That is disappointing but at least pc users get it a few days earlier. I already played through the first episode. It'll take around 2 hours to complete although there is replay value in playing through again to see how different choices affect the game. It's exactly the type of game The Walking Dead was: Dialogue heavy with a smattering of QTE type events. It's very well made but if you hated The Walking Dead this won't win you over. The only bug I came across was that my XBOX 360 controller wouldn't work. It doesn't really matter since the mouse works well although both have flaws. Basically, walking works best on the controller whereas moving the cursor works better with the mouse. Since you're hardly walking I'd choose the mouse.

Bought this game a couple weeks ago for $15 on the Steam midweek sale, and finally had a chance to play it this weekend.

If you liked the Walking Dead, it's exactly that kind of game. The story is engaging, the 1980's setting is interesting, and you really feel like your choices matter. I beat all three episodes in the span of two days... and I had a blast. Definitely an unique take on the whole fantasy genre we've been seeing lately.

I've been making a point to support Telltale Games when I can because they truly pour some love into these games. I'd highly recommend the Wolf Among Us for anyone looking to try something new.

I got the first one on sale on XBL. I'm going to wait for a Season pack sale on Steam after they're all out. Good stuff.

So...it looks like he's dancing on a stripper pole? Is there something like that elsewhere in the game?

Yeah, in episode three there's a strip club. I have to wonder if this is actually a bug, or if somebody figured out how to mess with the animations in-game.
