The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show starts tonight!

Tonight they have the working, terrier, toy and non-sporting groups. Tomorrow they'll have the sporting, hound and herding groups as well as best-in-show.

I love watching this show every year. I always pull for the Mastiffs and other large dogs. Unfortunately, the terriers always win (although I loved the Bull Terrior that won last year). Which dogs will you be looking for?

i hate this show, its total fake and worse than the grammys.

i have shown dogs and im sorry you can not compare dogs in different groups together and arrive at a "best in show" winner... :roll:

That may be so, I really don't know much when it comes to showing dogs. All I know is that it's fun to see all the different breeds.

yeah, those guys are crazy looking.

The neat thing about this show is you see the BEST representation of the breed out there. Not to mention seeing breeds you never knew existed.

And apparently a Jack Russel Terrier isn't a recognized breed. I think the story goes some guy specifically breed a dog for getting badgers/weasels. Or something like that.

Seriously though. It is a very interesting show to watch.

DAMN!! That Great Dane is almost taller than the judge! Get'em Marmaduke. If you've ever played with a great dane they're great dogs - it's when they give you their paw you realize "Hey! That's almost big as mine!!!!". And palm a B-ball easily.

Apparently Bill Cosbys dog, which had no competition in the best of breed category, apparently the other 4 show dogs of its breed that were eligible decided not to enter, is the front runner for Best of Show.

I believe Mastiff's and English Mastiffs are the same actually.
