That show went all to hell after Aaron Sorkin stopped producing the show. Of course, Ted McGinley had a guest spot on West Wing around that time as well, so maybe he just put the infamous "Ted McGinley Curse" on it :)

worse but watchable.

Last season was seriously lacking. This season is not great but it is better than last year.

Yup. The show is of higher quality this season. Unfortunately it seems less "real." ie, CJ is now Chief of Staff. There is no Deputy Chief of Staff or Deputy Communications Director (at least they're not part of the show). This is my opinion, but, the stuff that happens isn't so believable. Before, in the best years, the episodes were believable. Maybe a bit of a stretch, but you know.

Anyway, one thing I miss, is that Sorkin was a legitimate writer. So he could go talk about the writing process, write speeches that were moving, talk like a writer without feeling fake. We never see Toby write anymore. It's a shame. That's all I can think of right now. Oh well.

Hopefully when they have the next elections on it a character like the Dub will win turning that show into a sitcom. Will Ferrell can play the Dub's character.

Seasons 1/2 is some of the best television ever made. The writing is just perfect. The ensemble cast works. I've season each ep of Seasons 1/2 at least a dozen times and I can still watch them over and over again.
