I remember hearing about a campaign to get it released on DVD. Also had heard that it succeeded, though maybe that was just a dream.

Wasn't it something like... gymnast travels to compete in some obstacle race... with ninjas?

I actually met the guy that made the special effects for that movie. Thinking back, I probably shouldn't have told him that the effects on the movie were "cheezy".
