Whenever the magician wants to make a move in sleight of hand, they redirect your attention so that the "trick" can be enabled.
Education (or lack of it) is the essence of each of these issues. Anytime I hear "WAR ON ...."< w/ tympani roll in the bkgrnd< I know they are hoping to redirect my attention away from other issues that are at the core of the problem the "War ON..." is all about.
That "WAR ON........"< w/ tympani roll in the bkgrnd< is simply the PR face to lull you into a feeling of security, that "Uncle Sam" or "Uncle Bill" or "BigBlue" is taking care of little ol' you. Fact: they are working for the shareholders and you are as important as a pallet on the loading dock. Actually less, because I don't see anyone paying $5.00 per unemployed worker stacked in the back of the pick up....

The FACT is unless you study hard, LEARN the lessons of the past and how we are intertwined in our own Machiavelian(sp) mess vis a vis our Government and Corporate Welfare Whores and keep your own nose relatively clean(ie don't lose your rights with a felony), you are falling into the trap that the Industrial-Political Machine has set up. They still need legions of mindless, selfless, worker drones to fill the rank and files of the industries that they reap the most profit from. If they didn't reap a profit from it, they would change it until they did.
An educated man knows that as long as he's learning new skills, there is hope for advancement. An ignorant man will fall into the "victim trap". When you lose hope, drugs look pretty good. Then poverty is just around the corner. < not suggesting that drug use is the root of all poverty....
or to paraphrase....
Give a man a fish and you've fed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you've fed him for a lifetime

There really is no problem b/c every rich American is a hard working, principled, individual that gets their cash through labor, while every poor person is lazy and unprincipled.

soo true! 😀

I never said all poor people were lazy. So much for reading comprehension...

I know many hard working, highly principled poor or lower middle class people who's only fault is a total lack of ambition and/or they are suffering from a paralyzing fear of change.

One can dig ditches 12 hours a day for their entire life making minimum wage. They are far from lazy or unprincipled, but lack any ambition to do something better with their lives. They, and they alone are responsible for their poverty. If you are an able bodied, able minded individual, you and you alone are responsible for your financial situation.

The disabled are another story, and separate from my point.

If everyone had lots of ambition, who would do the smelly jobs?

Make no mistake, the War On Drugs is a vital part of protecting our great nation's God-fearing Christian Americans. These Godless evildoers who pollute our children with these vile drugs, these implements of terror will be found and punished. We will smoke them out of their holes and we will bring them to justice. We are putting the world on notice; while we are a compassionate nation, a nation of good Christian and other people, we are also a nation with resolve. Nations that support the drug trade are no better than the drug lords themselves, so make no mistake, you're either with us, or you're with them. Make no mistake, the drug lords and those nations that support them will see and feel our resolve first hand, for we will show the world that we will pass this test.

Drugs have nothing to do with religion, bud. Neither does war IMO. Religion is just something easy to lay the blame on. It works too, it has for 100's of years. You say make no mistake, I say wake the bloody hell up!

The point is, not everyone does. This does not mean I must support them, nor does it mean we must wage a "war" against their apathy or fear.
