So FDA closing loop on its ban of Trans-fats and Fox News has a cow by making shit up?
Color me surprised.
Fox News seems to believe that sprinkles can
only be made using trans fats. This is simply wrong. 20 years ago or whatever, they were probably thinking the ban on trans fats would make most types of food illegal. That way you're too hungry to fight against being put into a fema camp!
A part of me wonders if Fox News started as a joke. When Colbert was on O'Reilly's show, O'Reilly said Colbert was a copy of himself. What an interesting thing to say since Colbert is a relatively straight faced parody of right wing extremism. O'Reilly is also right wing, straight faced, and extreme, but it's never clear whether or not he's serious. O'Reilly is an educated man who has been very successful, so he obviously has some kind of intelligence. That's why it seems strange when he says unbelievably stupid things. It's possible he's playing a character. Remember that Colbert was once invited to talk at a Bush dinner because several people in high positions didn't seem to realize Colbert was mocking conservatives. Imagine you're a young Bill O'Reilly doing a conservative character who says incredibly stupid things, and someone offers you a job as a conservative commentator. Do you tell them it's a joke or do you smile and take the job? I would take the job. I'll act like Glenn Beck or Rush if it involved getting paid as much as those clowns.
Eventually the joke takes over and people forget it's a joke. It happens all the time.
