The video game gods are mad at me.

I must have done something to piss them off.

Timeline of my week since last Thursday.

Thursday - RROD XBOX 360

Friday - Computer broke, on Monday I had to replace the video card with an old radeon x1300 I had lying around. I won't be gaming much with that.

Wednesday - I have a ton of great PS2 games to play through. so I wasn't that upset by the RROD. Last night my PS2 crapped out on me.

What/whom should I sacrifice to appease the gods?

You have good power conditioning, yes? The timing for three different units to go belly up is very strange.

The Flying Spaghetti Monster requires only that you touch his noodley appendage, in order to receive his blessing for gaming bliss.

People tell me that bad things almost always happen in threes... so your latest experience seems to reflect that.

Never had a problem with power spikes before. The 360 was rrod, the ps2 won't spin the disk, and my comp was the vid card. Maybe just a crazy coincidence.

No, that's just when you start saying WTF so you remember those incidents. Bad things happen all the time, when it happens frequently it becomes an issue to superstitious fools that don't understand things like math and statistical anomalies.

He might want to get a line conditioner, or a UPS with voltage regulation.

Yes sir, that was my thinking as well.

Good advice on making sure you have a working and decent surge suppressor or UPS ( attach the TV to a surge-only socket not one of the battery powered ones).

And you can't even get a PS3 with PS2 BC since it would be crazy not to wait for the Metal Gear 4 bundle coming out next month 🙁
