I was wondering what people would say is the very best ram, without discussing pricing.

Right now i have corsair xms 3200 2225... its the best ram for me because im not much of and over clocker and it has such good timings.

I have herd alot of people raving that ocz series and geli are better... what do you think? overclocking?

Or you could get Mushkin Redline XP4000 which would give you high speeds at tight timings. It's really whatever you prefer. I would prefer TCCD over UTT though as it doesn't require much voltage to get a good overclock and overclocks higher so you coulc keep a 1:1 ratio when overclocking.

It's a memory chip and memory that uses them are known to get very good overclocks. They can run 2-2-2-5 w@ 220MHz all the way up to 300MHz with looser timings. So they really are the most versatile.; They also do not need a lot of voltage to get really high clocks either. You could saty with *safe* voltages and still get around 300MHz and above.

Also no TCCD is getting harder to find as they are no longer in production. it has been replaced by TCC5

"Very best" is a remarkably subjective assesment.

Do you want the best timings? Best bandwidth? Best quality? Best compatability? Best...

You get the picture. The best RAM depends on what you want to do with it. Do you plan to overclock afterall? In that case, you'll have to look for something different than if you just want to build something which is fast without an OC.

Any PC3200 with tight timings

Best for overclocking and making really fast

What I linked to above.

Are you just asdking these questions out of curiosity or are you actually plan on purshasing them? Your RAM, even Value RAM would be fine for OCing; just run a divider. More expensive stuff is not really worth it in most cases.

If you're not ocing, you can't get any better than the RAM you got. Even if you were ocing you couldn't even get that much better.

Look @ the Ballistic Series by Crucial as it OC's great and most of the others are 3rd Party chips
