hi guys, i have perhap one of the oldest sb's around -- it was working find up to a few days ago under win98se. but when i swapped in a new hdd with a fresh win2k install it stopped working. i'm new with win2k, so i'm not sure where should i be troubleshooting this. "add hardware" didnt seem to find a soundcard of anykind. just a bunch of "codecs"

how do i get it to work, or does it in fact work at all under win2k? thanks!

SB16 is legacy, so you may have to manually select it it the "add new harware" thing.

Check the device manager. windows may recognize it but have a big yellow "!" over it, because something is wrong (most likely IRQ or DMA conflicts)
