I am pretty sure they used to give you free boxes. Like 11x8x2 or something in size like that. Is that still the case?

Yep, you can order free boxes, tape, bubble wrap, envelopes and other shipping supplies right from their web site.

Wow, that I didn't know. I just have something small I plan to ship through them and just wanted to be sure they would give me a box, before i drive all the way out there.

They will, but don't get caught using it for other than mailing stuff via USPS.

Online! Minimum 1 box(25count). They sell you some all purpose boxes at the po. I haven't seen them give out any free boxes in-store, other then the flat rate priority envelopes.

It's best to order your boxes and have them delivered. Few post offices have many boxes in stock as there's some redtape involved for them in obtaining them.

Or you'll get a visit from them.

Oh man, I would not want to screw around with the United States Postal Inspectors.

Our local PO (the branch closest to work, anyways) has quite an assortment of USPS Priority boxes and envelopes..

If you're really that desperate for boxes, reverse engineer the box so that the labels are inside out ;)

The 3 in my area (Bronx, NY) don't even display them. They display those damn "ReadyPost" boxes that they have the nerve to sell for 2 to 4 bucks. Wow...paying almost 4 bucks for a lousy cardboard box and I see people buying them too.

If you ask them for the priority boxes they usually never have them except for those mega cheap priority envelopes.

They're printed on both sides for exactly this reason.

Also, I got about 1200 boxes delivered once. That was bad.

LOL! I only order 1-2 of each size I need at a time, because they usually get them to me within a couple of days. 1200 must have been a PITA to take care of.
