Gosh, that's swell. What does it have to do with the discussion? Lets see, you did have a basement that was used and your friend didn't have a basement, just a crawl space/utility hole and didn't visit it often. Of course, not many would refer to it as a basement.

Oh yes, that gosh darn laundry that is on the first floor. Clearly, that invalidates everything else I've said. :rolleyes:

Since you basically said that having 1st floor laundry = too big of a house, yes. The point is, even medium and small houses can and do have 1st floor laundry.

No, having a room or entire basement you rarely enter is a sure sign of living in too large a house. Where your laundry lives doesn't mean anything. Oh, I see, I mistakenly included you when I replied to tk149. Did I hurt your feelings?
