I went into a UPS Store(Used to be Mail Boxes Etc.) to get some stuff packaged.
Well, the people in there were complete morons. :| The lady put a few peanuts in the bottom of my box.. barely enough to cover the bottom, stuck my item in there, and began taping it up with a huge gaping hole in the top flaps of the box. You could see right into the box. She was just covering the hole with tape. I was like, "Aren't you going to fill it up the rest of the way with peanuts?"
So she filled it up.. Then I showed her how to hold the box together so there wasn't a huge gaping hole in the top. It was obvious she had no idea what she was doing.
The tape job is so schoddy on one of the boxes(the one she did), I'm going to have to redo it. The ends of the tape are all crumpled and not sticking, I don't want them to catch on something and rip the tape off.
I ended up doing the other two boxes myself.
The cost of all this? 17$. For two boxes, 5 sheets of bubblewrap, and some foam peanuts.
I feel sorry for people who have their things packaged there, especially if they don't follow them back to watch and help like I did. :Q The only reason I got to was because my items were greasy and she "didn't want to get dirty".
The whole time I was there, I was thinking.. I could do this 10x better than the people working here. 😛 I'm going to go back once more when I ship the items, and I think I'll pick up an application.
