wizardket,

I am planning to buy a Sensora Restonic twin size mattress and foundation set soon for my son for college from Building 19 for $549.

How did yours work out?

I was going to get just a mattress from foambymail.com as it was cheaper, but I need it ASAP and can get one from Building 19 within a few miles of the school and thought it might take too long for one to be shipped from foambymail.

I may need two more for my other sons. The 3" pink memory foam foambymail twin size is only $333.99 (shipping is free) versus $384 for just the Restonic mattress.

Has anyone purchased the ones with the pink foam from foambymail? What about the one with the white foam - it's even cheaper at $277.99 for 3". Their BBB rating is satisfactory.

I don't want just a topper. Based on the one I have already I think the complete set is the way to go. We like the fact that the one we have does not bounce (as does a box spring) when someone gets in or out in the middle of the night.

Then the memory foam on top of that. Works perfectly, and similiar to how an expensive memory foam mattress is constructed.

Yup, me too, 5" extra firm. Very comfy though I still use the mattress as well.
Kept the case and the motherboard, added an extra hd and some memory and am now operating at unknown mhzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I have the Sensus pillows and think they are from Foambymail. I was a little mixed on them at first, but like them more and more all the time. The flimsy cloth covers I paid an extra $10 for are a bit cheesy, however.

Yup, me too. I bought the 5.3lb density Sensus queen pillows and mattress toppers from foambymail after trying many other products and am very satisfied with them. If I were to buy another pillow or mattress topper this is what and where I would buy them.

Could this thread get any longer regarding a pillow? :)

Well, its been going on for over a year now, so I see no reason for it to go beddy-bye if you get my drift.

Plus, its a great way for folks like yourself to continue to add to their post count by adding "fluff" to this thread - if you also get my drift. Thanks for the input!

Hi, I have some question,

i saw two sensus mattress toppers, 1 at foambymail.com and other at memoryfoam.com.

here are links to it

memoryfoam.com's 3'' Sensus 5.0 lb mattress topper

foambymail.com's 3" Sensus 5.3 lb mattress topper

My question is,
1. are they the same? or just a typo.
2. Are the 5.3 lb really worth it over the 5.0 lbs?
3. And also are 2'' mattress topper enuff or i should get at least 3'' mattress topper?
4. I know i can look this up, but which pillow on the foambymail.com is the sensus pillow??

i will appreciate any help, and please help =*(. I always have bad time going to sleep, and get aches often after waking up so having a lot of hope that these thing willl help me out.

I dont know if they are the same or not, but I doubt that it makes any difference in the quality of the pad itself. To be safe, I would go with the 5.3lb density. They are both made by the same manufacturer (Foamex a/k/a Sensus). I bought pillows and a pad from foambymail, and I see that they charge $169.99 for their full size topper and the other company is charging $186.48. I was very happy with foambymail - their customer service was excellent. Since they both offer free UPS shipping, I would save the money and buy it from foambymail.

If you are having trouble going to sleep etc, I would definitely recommend that you purchase at least a 3" topper. I had the same problems you describe and can tell you that since I bought 4" of the Sensus foam, all of my aches and pains have disappeared. The extra inche(s) are worth it IMHO.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

-------------------------

I like the matress very much and it has a 2" Sensus foam in it. I added the extra 2" Sensus (Pink 5#) topper and it is even better! Though Boyd & Perefect Comfort ($689) both have a better looking matress, I am pleased with the Sensora Restonic. I have not got my pillow yet as it was back-ordered.

Oh man, I remember seeing this a year ago and see that it is still alive and well :).

I never read through the entire thread, there is just too much to consume! Please overlook my laziness when replying to my post.

I am looking for a single size memory foam mattress. Not just a topper, I need the whole thing because the cheapcheapcheap foam filling in my old foam "mattress" is dying and I'm afraid it very uncomforable. I am comfortable puchasing it on eBay and at B&M stores.

I've done a cursory search on Ebay and noticed that the full sized memory foam mattress, not topper, goes for ~$250. Uhhh, is that normal? Anyone have recommended sellers?

EDIT: On second thought, if one buys a mattress topper, do you need a spring based mattress to get the best feel/"performance" out of it? or is it a miracle solve-it-all and just throw it on top of whatever you have sorta thing?

JcPenney for your foam base and several on THIS page for your topper. Sensus Seems preferred.

Okay, since it's been awhile, I'll go ahead and ask. Does anyone know what density the tempurpedic pillows are? I was in Bed Bath & Beyond last night and noticed that they've got the Carpenter pillows for $59 and the Tempurpedic for $99. Based on a cursory inspection, it seemed that the Tempurpedic was MUCH softer and had much more of a memory effect compared to the Carpenter. I would prefer to buy local since I can return it if I can't stand it. The last two contour pillows I tried gave me a real sore neck/shoulder area.

Also, does anyone have an experience with the memory foam pillow that Sharper Image sells? With that 1/2 off deal, plus another 10% off I get plus any coupons I might find, it might be a good way to go, but I'm leery of buying another uncomfortable one.

Or should I just say to heck with all of those and take my chances on a Sensus pillow from foambymail?

I think the general consensus(no pun) is that sensus makes for a decent mattress, but a relatively uncomfortable pillow

Okay, great. That helps. Now that that's out of the way, what about the other three? I know a lot of people love the Tempurpedic, but is it worth an extra $40/ea. And has anyone used the one from Sharper Image?

Edit: Okay, I found a way to more easily search the entire thread. View it in text, then search it. And so it seems that the SI ones are very popular AND cheaper than the ones at BB&B. So looks like that's what I'll try for.

Visco Memory Foam Mattress Pad $40 (Queen) @ Smartbargains

Visco Memory Foam Mattress Topper $50 (Queen) @ Smartbargains

edit: Never mind- The pad is 1.25" and the topper is 1.5"

Anyone try either one of these? Is it worth $10 for an extra .25"?

THX

ok, i bought the 1.5" matress topper. there's not that much resistance and it pops back up pretty fast :(

at least compared to my brookstone $100 memory foam pillow.

so avoid the topper. if someone tried the pad, please post your experience.

btw-memoryfoam.com's 3" 5lb density topper = $187. http://www.foambymail.com/SRFTopperFull.html is $250 for the same. the 168 is for the 2"

I can't believe read this whole thread. Anyway, I bought my Tempur-Pedic pillow from Brookstone in Las Vegas 4 years. I still have it and still loving it. What I've noticed is that my old pillow is more dense than the one my sister bought recently from Brookstone.

It would be worthwhile to know if the pillow your sister bought recently at Brookstone was also a Tempur-Pedic - or some other brand?
