guess we've to get on the same page to allow assumptions to carry the same weight and understanding... I posit:

God is without a time factor... Alpha/Omega... always was and always will be... eternity and etc...

Ergo, God would know all that was and is to be relative to us, in the now... all things are now. So it would follow, I think, that full knowledge is has...

I reckon it is plausible that God might simply be very old and pretty smart and filled with hope that what was started has purpose and an eternity of future...

I just can't reckon that this universe was created for us.... There are simply too many realities that go against that notion... Andromeda is about 2.5 million light years away and coming fast toward us... and there are simply too many opportunities for life elsewhere to have us proclaim sovereignty over the universe.

I agree, the universe wasn't created for us. Take a look at Psalm 24, Colossians 1:16, Psalm 19:1, Isaiah 43:7. God created the universe and people for Himself.

original sin was when Lucifer attacked God not what man did. Or if your like me, God created all the building blocks of the universe and when He did so He also created the demons and the devil just as they are today. After all God's plan is perfect.
And it is arrogance to think that life is only on this planet.

Pray To Jesus why do you start threads like this? To stir the shit? Do you think you are doing the Lord's Work by doing this?

I think Adam and Eve were the cause of the Original Sin via the knowledge bit. It would seem mean spirited for a God to chastise all of the future humanity for what the head devil (prior archangel.... according to the Catholic Church) did.

I think Genesis points to Sons of God and Sons of man... and daughters... and these Sons of God made nice with the ladies and finally along comes the Arc and Flood and all that bit...

Life might be embedded in Asteroids... but, human life might be a really extraordinary event.....
I can imagine a dinosaur about to stomp on a rat like mammal but an earthquake occurred and after a few million years of mammal evolution from that rat thingi come humans.

I've always thought of myself as more feline than swine...

Course then again pigs have 30 minute orgasms.

Woohoo!!

I take it that by ThinClient's silence he can't find an instance to where I insulted him first thereby conceding that I was right.

Jumping in here...
I think this will fit in.

A close (very close) relative had an out of the blue "medical episode" a few months ago while shopping. Passed out and was in a coma for 2 days in the ICU.
Now, back to normal, no one or no tests explained why or what happen. A complete medical mystery. A very scary medical mystery.

I bring this up because it was what they described as their experience right before passing out.
She said it felt like she was detaching from her surroundings and everything was moving away. As when looking in the rear view mirror of a car watching the images moving away.
She felt like everything, her surroundings, were fading or moving away and she was helpless watching it all happen. Noises turned into garble as if everything was underwater.

Her experience made me think of this world, life, universe, everything connected with it, as existing within some self contained bubble like sphere.
We enter into the bubble thru birth, and exit thru death. Well, our physical mortal death.
So what if this thing called life, living, experience, were all taking place in some conceived bubble?
Pain, joy, sorrow, fear, day, night, cold, hot, touch, up, down, happy, sad, want, need, etc etc.
Say that we enter into the bubble of life and living thru birth and only thru birth and exit only with death.
So where would we end up after exiting outside of this bubble or sphere?
Could we look down onto this bubble from outside, as if we were watching the earth when standing the moon?
And could there be other bubbles waiting for us to experience?
Other concepts of life with completely different rules from our current one?
Maybe where only energy exists, no physical at all, but only non matter.
We could, if born or merged into this other bubble, exist only as energy.
Not reliant on physical at all, such as air, warmth, gravity, flesh, pain nor touch.
Nothing physical, yet we still experience the presences of our own existence.
That we were alive. That we exist.

How many bubbles might there be waiting for us?

Sound like a good sci-fi movie plot? Especially when stoned? :D
Oh, btw, pot doesn't exist in any of those other bubbles.
Energy life forms can't get high. Bummer...

How could sin exist if god didn't create it? How could lucifer have the capacity for sin if god created angels without souls and without the capacity for sin?

No, fuckhole, I actually have a life. You should try it, some time. It's a lot of fun.

Especially when you're not restricted by the oppressive chains of a hate-filled bigoted religion.

I'm not sure you fully understand what the term "original sin" refers to. (I don't believe it mean the first sin etc. and my understanding is that it applies only to humans even though angels may have sinned first.)

original sin:

Original sin, also called ancestral sin,[1] is the Christian doctrine of humanity's state of sin resulting from the fall of man,[2] stemming from Adam's rebellion in Eden. This condition has been characterized in many ways, ranging from something as insignificant as a slight deficiency, or a tendency toward sin yet without collective guilt, referred to as a "sin nature", to something as drastic as total depravity or automatic guilt of all humans through collective guilt.[3]

Just how is my religion hate filled and bigoted? You don't even know what my religion is.
And there you go again lobbing insults.
Once again I challenge you to tell me in what post did I insult you first

Demons I presume are fallen angels... according to the Catholic Church, as I recall. Apparently, God created the angels and one of the head angels, Lucifer, got his band of merry angels to rebel and poof... off they went to the Pit... or like that.

I suppose if you accept a God you've to also accept the reality of demons or devils... Same source, it seems.

Sometimes we just need to think of the odds, of how often has the universe been created, in this black void of infinity alone. Are there others like this remains to be questioned.......?

Because we have this concept that their must be a creator.....of cause there is....the creation of spontaneous combustion by the odds in the difference between the positive and negative..... called the Alpha & Omega, it is the beginning and the ending of all things but not absolute....its is GOD.

Really? And people think the universe was made for humans?

I guess the Pig don't much care about who or what the universe was created to sate.... Pigs seem a bit interested in their career path and bacon might not be on that agenda.

That depends on which God you accept. All of them are equally arbitrary so you might as well choose at random, or follow the easy route and accept the same one your parents did.

I accept none.
