IF those stories are true...and not "Jussified," then that sucks...and the perpetrators should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law...however, with the Jussie thing...and several others kind of along the same bent, I'm somewhat skeptical.

Doesn't seem likely to be any sort of hoax. Twelve colleges received bomb threats. There'd have to be many people involved, more than just one "Jussie."

I'm not sure whether to say, "Gee, I hope not," or whether there being some hoax involved wouldn't be a better thing...
(and, FWIW, one person could easily make the bomb threats at 12 colleges...depending on how the threat was delivered.
(I'm NOT saying there is any bullshit involved...just that, because of the false allegations in recent years, I'm at least a bit skeptical)

I tend to just assume that things are as they seem without a conspiracy or false flag unless there is evidence suggesting as much. Also, one prior hoax out of 1000's of hate crimes prosecuted every year does mean what you think it means. It's the same thing as saying that one false allegation of rape makes them all suspect so we should just assume they're all false by default.

I wonder if people ever think that those behind these bomb threats are counting on a visceral angry reaction if no explosives are found.

Divide and conquer continues.

So 12 prestigious colleges and or universities are just making it up? I guess they met in advance to coordinate their stories.

No, I believe what he meant were that the threats were falsely made by "leftist operatives" or the like.

Could you cite some of these "others"?

Besides Jussie...how many other actual and verified false flags have there been in the past decade? Did I miss a bunch of reports like that?

To me, that seems like bending over backwards to try to see a conspiracy. /shrug

Hmm. The first warning they mentioned (Howard) was posted 3:29 in the morning East Coast time. That makes me wonder if the threat was made around midnight Pacific time so it would be 2/1 anywhere in the 48 states.

For all we know, this could have been one mass email, phone message, etc queued up to go to a mailing list of sorts of HBCUs from around the country. Or it could have been low tech with one person phoning it in sequentially. I would guess any college would post a 24hr number to their public safety/campus police that would be a pretty sure way to get the desired response with a 30 second phone call.

Regardless, that person(s) should spend 1 year for each threat called confined in a cell listening to a continual loop of Whitney Huston's I Will Always Love You turned up to 11.

Just a couple of many in recent years...mostly since Trump was elected.

NO, I'm NOT claiming the colleges planned this as some kind of conspiracy...I'm just saying I'm kind of skeptical that all 12 received verifiable bomb threats...and that it's possible...just POSSIBLE that some of them were hoax threats...not always by folks who hate black people...but often, by other black people looking for attention.
As the grandfather of 3 wonderful mixed race kids, I've seen first hand the blatant racism in this country against black people. After our oldest grandson was born, I was at a neighbor's house helping him put in sod. He asked me, "So, when it the little niglet coming to visit next?" I knocked him on his ass, gave him a couple more to convince him to stay down...and told him the next time, he wouldn't get off so easily. In spite of all the denials, racism, whether it's blatant, in your face or hidden behind snide remarks and sideways looks still exists in the USA...and Trump empowered those racists to be more open and aggressive about it.

That said, there have been numerous reports in the news about black people claiming to have been attacked...or their property vandalized...only to turn out, they did it themselves. THAT is what makes me skeptical about this.

Yeah, I hadn't seen others, but the Smollett case was obviously bigger news for a longer period since he was a 'celebrity' that staged it. The charges and trial kept it in the news for a while as well.

Thanks for giving a few examples of the other instances. I actually did try finding others, but perhaps my google-fu is weak today, heh.

Jussie will always be the goto even 20 years from now to minimize white nationalist threats.

Just sayin'...Did a search to get an update and not one posting from Fox News in the first 5 pages of results. Even Newsmax had an article on page 2. I guess Fox doesn't want to bore their audience until Liberty U gets a threat.

Yes, it's certainly likely that 12 different HBCUs colluded to announce 12 separate bomb threats on their campuses in one day, because somehow it is wise for them to disrupt classes and campus operations even more-so for...some undisclosed reason that I'm sure you will be explaining shortly.

I mean...come on old man. Aren't their some nameless Vietnamese communities that you should be shaming and raging against right now? You know, the ones that you want to keep murdering for no fucking reason, even though you still blame the US for "making you a racist murdering asshole by sending you off to kill them even though you say you never wanted to?"

I mean look: 12! How symmetric! What does it mean?? It must mean something! Obviously a hoax!

I'm not going to call out anyone specifically out on this, just had to acknowledge something

When a crime is reported on local news, the first reaction among...well some people.
"Bet you it was a black guy"

The United States celebrates the first day of Black History Month with 12 bomb threats of HBCUs
"Something something...Jussie Smollett .. something"

Being bi-racial where everyone thought I was Spanish so they took the filters off....I heard it A LOT.
By default..."black guy did it" or they'd bring up Al Sharpton\Tawana Brawley.

However, to be fair.
Black families in my neighborhood would blame "The Puerto Ricans..."

To add additional comedy, since many Puerto Ricans...looked like white guys. Black people would tell that to Puerto Ricans.

Hilarious whirlwind of comedic prejudice

There are always going to be idiots. People with weak minds and anger, people that hate because they don't understand their own frustration and failures. There is no country where you're not going to find those people.
That may be true but there are very few countries where the former head of state and a current political party promoted this kind of behavior.

Not sure why Boomer brought up Jussie...his point is still somewhat valid without requiring some black guy to play the racial "victim" card.

Occam's Razor: 9 times out of 10, school bomb threats are made by students who are a) bored and stupid b) trying to delay a test c) in it for the lulz, or d) at a rival school.
