The UN needs to censor any Arab country that labels Isreal as Zionist

It is pure hate speech. The UN is tolerating more and more hate speech from loose cannons such as Iraq's foriegn minister today. The chairman needs to cut off the speakers as soon as it appears to be racist or inflammatory to other nations. A warning needs to be issued immediately or we'll just perpetuate open hatred like this bull$hit in the middle east. The UN is one screwed up entity when it cannot even police its own membership. How will it ever police the world?

I couldn't agree more.

Everyone should show respect within the UN, giving speeches etc....

All references I usually see is to the Zionist regime, as in the government of Israel, in which case that is true description. Most Arab states don't recognize Israel, so they use Zionist

How come I don't see any Israelis complaining about this? Israel is a Zionist country. Zionist is not deragatory IMO, unless you interpret it that way. The main reason Iraq uses that word is that they don't recognize Israel as a country. If you forbid them from using that term, they'll call it something else except Israel.

I would very rarely like to defend anything said by Iraq's FM but he is correct in his use of the term. I have no doubt his speech was probably hate-filled but using the term Zionist as an adjective describing Israel is more than likely a correct usage and hardly offensive.
