The ultimate in shipping company incompentancies!

So.... I work for GE and we had to ship a 475 LB pallet of washing machine motors from Indiana to India. It was supposed to arrive the 22nd(3 days ago), but instead it is lost somewhere in the UK. It's been lost for about 5 days now. I'm clueless as to how someone can lose an item of this magnitude! I hope they have plenty of $$ to cover the item because it's worth about $10,000 due to the number of man hours put in testing plus the shipping cost of $862!

Summary: DHL SUX BALLS!!!

RANT O' THE DAY

~SV~

DHL spent 30 minutes searching for my package at their warehouse when I went to pick it up. I don't think I will ever purposely use them.

The seem to be really good about shipping things to and from places they stop all the time. One of the companies I deal with at work uses them for shipping and they are pretty reliable to that end.

Though, throw them a curveball and anything can happen. They recently spent 4 days trying to find my house. I had to call them and give directions.

Just talked to them and they were like... ummmm.... it might be in such and such place... at least i think that's where that plane was going!

woah, we actually export manufactured goods?

😀

Hmmm...should we report the OP for exporting "Appliances of Mass Destruction"? We might be aiding terrorists in *gasp* washing their clothes!

😛

dhl is crap, we shipped a large palette with them and they lost it, then when we finally got it back it was damaged.. a FULL PALETTE.

don't ever use them.

It would be great to work for the only company that could actually build a nuclear powered washing machine in house with off the shelf parts.
