6/8 - Bought a new Honda Accord SE for $2,500 under factory-to-dealer invoice using a loss leader ad.
9/5 - Trip permit expires and I've had the license plates for about about 3 weeks.
Of course I'm too lazy to screw the license plates on and once you do that "new car" feeling/aura/vibe is gone.
Called the Oregon DMV, after the CSR and I have a good chuckle at my laziness she says I'd have to go into the DMV office, wait about 30 minutes until my number is called, bring proof of insurance and the VIN (which I don't have with me at work) and pay $20 to get a 2nd trip permit. I was ok with the $20 but waiting for 30 minutes and bringing that paperwork?

So I told her forget it, I'll just get off my lazy ass and install the plates which will take a whopping minute! ok maybe 2 minutes for the front and back plates.

Top that!

I am sure I can come up with something to top ya Ross, but I am too lazy to think about one that I have done ( or not done. ) I will just wait till I remember on my own. I would hate to use my brain here in OT.

I do that also but I think of it as killing two kittens with one stone or being productive rather than lazy.

That's not necessarily a result of being lazy, I'm pretty sure it's physically impossible to reach if it's under 2".

I put the remote code for my window air conditioner on my Sony universal remote so I don't have to walk over to it to change the temperature or turn it on/off.

I did the same thing with our ceiling fan :) Both geeky AND lazy!

At work when my boss forgets his keys he stops at the receptionist desk on the way out and calls and ask someone to bring him his keys instead of walking the whole 200 feet back to his office.

I have, on at least two spearate occasions, driven with expired tags (on a not-too-common car) for almost a 1-year period.
Not because I didn't have the $80 but because I was too damn lazy to take the 5-minute drive to the DMV and wait another 5-minutes to get my new tags. :Q
During one of these periods I was even tailed through a neighborhood after 1 A.M. by an Officer who eventually got bored and went the other way!

A guy who was in the dorm room across the hall once pissed the bed. Why? Since he was going to change the sheets the next day anyway, and he was drunk, it wasn't worth walking to the bathroom.

Another guy from the dorm would take clothes from the dryer and throw them into the basket. When he got to the room he would start at the bottom drawer and just dump in as many clothes as would fit into each drawer. Why didn't he fold them first? Answer: "Only fools fold."

A guy from our softball team would get food from drive-throughs all the time, eat it while driving, then throw the bag of debris over his shoulder into the back seat of his Nissan. When the pile back there got kind of big, he started throwing them on the floor in front of the passenger seat. We once had a cookout at his place and gave him such a hard time about his car that he decided to clean the load of garbage out. Stuff had piled up there for so long, there was some type of plant actually growing in the crap that was on the floor of the back seat, about 2" high (no, not that kind of plant). We once asked him if driving a mobile garbage can was a hindrance to getting dates, but he said if the girl didn't have a car and agree to drive, he wouldn't go. Problem solved!

Another friend lost his job when his employer merged with another company. He said he didn't like working anyway, and his plan was to "lay on the couch and drink beer" until someone offered him a new job. After three months, we begged him to start looking for a job because his plan was ridiculous. Wouldn't you know, a couple weeks later he got a call from someone offering him a job! An old girlfriend had put his name in where she worked.

I have known some truly lazy people.

My front plate still isn't on my car (purchased 7/5/02).

I'm too lazy to drill holes in my front bumper to do it.

(Plus it looks goofy.)

I wish they did that here.

I broke down last night, and spent a whopping 2 minutes putting on the BACK license plate and removing the temporary trip permit (since it expired 9/5/2002) ... however I haven't put on the front license plate yet since there's no screws but there are holes!

One miracle at a time. Besides I'm sure that 99% of the time cops look at license plates from behind rather than from in front of you.
