You see, the waffles have a design advantage..........................those little "squares" hold teh syrup!

My wife broght home a really fancy electric waffle maker a few months ago. I was VERY excited about it, she got a huge kick out of my reaction.
The next morning she made me waffles with blackberries in the batter. It was absolutely delicious. The next morning she made waffles with blueberries in the batter. The following morning she made plain waffles and apologized for having made them without fruit. They were still delicious. I love waffles.

I like home made pancakes when I make them. But if at a restaurant I always go with the French Toast. Restaurant pancakes are just like eating sponges.
