I'm still looking for some good silent movies on dvd to add to my meager collection though.

You do have The General, correct?

No. 🙁 I said it was meager. I managed to find Metropolis and Nosferatu, but I think I need more than just the increadibly geeky ones. 😛

Wrote down "The General," and I'll be looking for it.

Oh, goodness! That's a Buster Keaton classic, and a great comedy. "The Kid" by Charlie Chaplin is fabulous too, and "City Lights" and... oye, anything with those two actors. Check out Greta Garbo's films too.

I'm on it. My roommate is going to wonder WTF is happening with his netflix queue.

Buster Keaton

Charlie Chaplin

Greta Garbo

Thanks for the suggestions. 🙂

If you haven't seen Metropolis yet, it's worth picking up. IIRC, it is the first Science Fiction movie out there. Unfortunately a bunch of it was lost. 🙁

Picked fall, but every season suits my mood some of the time.

movies - right now I'd rather watch something new, preferably something SF/Action or cartoons

music - mostly newer music, though the exercise my CDs get doesn't correlate much with age

I like being able to spend enough time by myself that I can enjoy going out and being with people. (I enjoy being with people, but I overload on them easily and most of them want to spend much more time with me than I have available.)

I read a lot more than I watch movies or TV, but most of what I read is online. Mostly technical and science websites.

I can play and sing. I've only got one album out and I haven't had much time for practice lately, so I'm pretty rusty. When things settle down a bit, I have high hopes of getting back into it.

I would be idealistic in looking for a mate if I were looking, but it's just not something I'm worrying about these days.

What's your favorite reading material? - technical manuals. I read various technical and scientific websites, occasionally read textbooks, and end up reading a lot of computer and software manuals.

Are you messy or clean? - Pretty clean - I keep things picked up. I'm never quite as neat as I'd like to be. I feel better when things are tidy and look good, but I rarely have enough time or enough projects finished to get it quite as tidy as I'd like.

How good of a student were you? Worked hard and did well.

How do you perform at work? I kick ass and take names...often literally 🙂
