This Friday, a woman retured the briefacse which contained the original lyrics to the U2 Album "October" It was lost at a concert in Portland back in '81 before they went to record the new album. Bono had to re-wrtie the lyrics in the studio, and the brifcase was forever lost until now, when I woman found it in the attic of her rental Home. Who knows what they are going to do with it, but hey, good for them

Edit: Thanks Strang for the link Link

That's CRAZY!!! Good stuff....I wonder if U2 will get them back?

i thought this would be about them breaking up or something.

apparently, when that album was recorded, they felt so bad about their sound, they considered breaking up

Why was this posted today when it happened on Friday? I already read and forgot about it, and I do enjoy U2's music. Why bump it if it was a sarcastic post?

it wasnt a sarcastic post, for those not addicted to the news, we heard about it today, so i decided to post it.....

I'm hardly addicted to the news. Comcast had it on their top 3 or 5 stories that rotates and it just happened to catch my eye. I do apologize for mistaking this to be a sarcastic thread (I was referring to your second message), though I now realize it was a pretty pointless one to say the least.

haha, not bad.

I think I'd be a little frustrated with that woman, even if things turned out for the best eventually. They obviously went through a lot after the briefcase was hijacked.

right, Ill be intersted to see if they like, Take these lyrics and re-relase that album, hoping itll be better, or what. Because U2 is known to recycle their music quite frequently
