...and broke several federal laws in the process.

free pass?

no.

Who cares about laws? Seriously, the debate should be about the wisdom and thought process BEHIND those laws. Simply arguing against something because it's against the law is kind of a circular argument...

Hey, if illegals want to join the military, put in 8 - 12 years active duty, serving in one of our many imperialistic adventures, I'd say they could stay.

And thinking of thier situation before those of the citizens of the host country. Of course if the said citizens of this country do the same we are somehow disengenious, and called racisits. Talk about a circular agument.

well, let's see how that correlates with the two faces of george w bush.

he champions the cause for giving amnesty to all illegal aliens currently in the country.
yet, he's forever trying to cut funding for the essential social services that these new welfare dependents will need after their current employers can't use the threat of exposing them to immigration services to keep their wages depressed and hire "new" illegal aliens to replace them.

he champions the policy of turning a blind eye toward our wide-open borders to keep his business buddies supplied with illegal immigrant slave labor.
yet, he summons the national guard to our borders to help keep the illegal immigrants out.

he champions the idea that he is the chosen decider and leader of our country and swore to uphold and defend the laws and values that make our country great.
yet, he flagrantly ignores many laws that he finds personally "inconvenient", including the one that prohibits US employers from hiring illegal immigrants.

he says he is sympathetic and compassionate toward all the illegal immigrants in the US and wants to help them make their dreams come true.
yet, his only concern for these people is to make sure the bulk of them remain poor to help drag down the wage line the middle class fought so hard to attain prior to the corporate takeover of the gov't. (imho)

tweaker2 saids it pretty well there.

Bush has enough money for himself and his children. He can send his kids to private schools and afford medical care and live behind guarded gate while rest of us pay for illegals expense.

Yes pretty much every major issue this country faces boils down to gw bush:frown:
You people are obsessed with him.

The idea of this post is that there is desirable immigration and undesireable immigration.

!)we need people who have certain skills and abilities and the attitude that being here is a privilage not a right.
2) we don't need the crooks, gang bangers, and habitual welfare families( let thier own country come into the 21st century and step up to the plate to meet thier needs)
