I sell all different types of home theater...LCD, Plasma blu ray hd-dvd so if you have questions let me know.

Most HD-DVD players = 720P/1080i

Blu Ray = 1080P

I watch Plasmas and LCDs all day long with both players and Blu Ray is dominating in sales as compared to the HD-DVD and the picture quality on the Blu Ray smokes HD-DVD.

720p/1080i = 1/2 Resolution of 1080P

I See alot of of topics about TV's and what to buy. I personally sell tv's and most of the ones your talking about i have right in front of me. I know a lot about the most popular brands and others. If you contemplating different tvs pleas ask and i will do my best to help you on DLP, LCD, LCOS, Plasma, Blu Ray, HD-DVD.....

DONY BUY VIZIO OR ANY OFF BRAND TV FIRST OF ALL THE SUCK SECOND OF ALL THERE IS MOST LIKELY A NAME BRAND TV THAT WILL OUT PERFORM IT FOR THE SAME PRICE OR A FEW DOLLARS MORE.

A quote from later in this thread:
What ever i dont need to sit here and argue with you retarded people. Your just like the people that come in and this Vizio is made by sony and Sayo as good as panasonic.

I started this topic to help people but you asshole forum people just got to act like bad asses and fuck shit up

DELETE MY TOPIC AND GO BUY A VIZIO AND 1080i

Well, as a matter of fact you're not going to get to sit there and argue any more, whether you wanted to or not. The people here aren't retarded. In fact, despite your trolling, the people responding in this thread have demonstrated that they can read the rules for these forums, particulary the parts about trolling and personal attacks (not to mention, they can spell and use proper grammar.) It's not the topic that's about to be deleted...

Dumped the troll post and the replies that took the bait in here (the replies were of the same topic of debate) from the BluRay versus HDDVD thread.

Why are all sales people completely and utterly clueless when it comes to TVs?

I honestly want to know why.

Ok, honest question.

I want the best display I can get. My viewing distance is about 10 feet and almost all the content I watch is HD.

When you came home, did you put your Best Buy shirt on the hanger so it didn't get wrinkled?

I sell TVs as well, I am Magnolia Home Theater sales pro.

What is the lighting situation in your room (ie. glare) and if there is glare, are you willing to deal with it?

If so, 60" 1080p Pioneer Elite Plasma. Pro-150HD

Magnolia big deal

Yes the pioneer elite is good but its double the price of a panasonic 58" 1080p so for most people it would be worth it to spend 3500 dollars plus for 2 inches

Also thats what all people say that know nothing about plasma tvs. Oh theres so much glare. That is why so many people come over to where i work after going to best buy because they hate the customer service and complain how those people know nothing about tv

Glad to see you didn't point out the most obvious and went the salesguy approach.

Viewing distance. There was a reason I picked 10 feet and both salesguys totally missed it. This is the actual viewing distance in my HT. There's a purpose behind that.

I'd like to see if the salesguys can deal with this, and further I'd like to see their reasoning.

i didnt even read that

What about it??? yea on average viewing distance is around 10-12 feet on a 60" tv but when its on 1080p you can 8 feet and its not that big of a deal. We have setup where your sittting that close and its not a big deal.

That was a hard question. Got any others?

Did you get all 16 posts in this one thread? You're really working hard to tell everybody that you sell TVs.

Fail at HD.

This is gonna be fun. Keep going!

Next question:

How do color, contrast and black level interact and what is the significance?
