i don't think that would happen in NJ.

the b/f was going thru the EZPass one day, and his thingy i the window did not work... so he pulled over and tried to pay in cash. they would not accept the money. The insisted that he get written up and pay all sorts of fines and etc as if he was trying to not pay. Morons. we sent a check and told them to gp scratch for the fines... took them a month to cash the check.

Yeah...in NJ, they have buzzers that go off when you don't get the correct change... Plus, they have cameras to get your tag number... I wouldn't mess with that. :p

That was stupid. Most places I drive through (Illinois) have gates so you can't just throw nothing in and drive away. And most that don't have gates, have cameras and if you don't thrown in the valid $1 in coins it takes pictures of your license plate. And if you do it enough they will come find you.

But do they actually do anything? Nobody I know actually waits to see if their money registered, they just throw 'n' go!

if they had a gate it would break and then someone would have to fix it. this would never happen. so there shall be no gates :)

When I went through this time, I heard the toll booth operator shout something that sounded like, "WALP!" I had been trying my little experiments at the same toll booth, so maybe he recognized my car, or maybe he was choking on a thick slice of ham. I didn't stick around to find out -- I got the WALP out of there.

I laughed so hard reading that I almost jumped the shark.

Hell ya they will, my sister just went through them every day without a care.... she cared when she got a bill for almost $4000 ($40 fine for each toll + the tolls)... She now has a iPass LOL.
