If I suddenly stop posting after this thread, fear for me...
I learned the truth about 9-11. It was not AQ...it was not some Israeli plot...and it was certainly not Bush. It was Ba'al.
The Tau'ri (that is us, on Earth), having defeated the Goa'uld System Lords and freed the people of the Galaxy, thought all was well. However, Ba'al had cloned himself and some of those clones (and the original it is thought) survived the wars.
Ba'al knew that the Tau'ri needed to be taken out before he could grab control during the ensuing power vacuum. To do this, he had Jaffa who were still loyal to him prepare a Naquida bomb. In case you do not know, they are VERY VERY powerful bombs. One set off on the US east coast would decimate half the US and the ensuing Atlantic tidal wave would smash most of Europe and much of Africa and South America. Quite amazing bombs.
To cover the movements of his Jaffa, Ba'al orchestrated the twin tower attacks. He knew it would paralaze the US just long enough for his forces to slip the Naquida bomb into the Pentagon.
Stargate Command got wind of the attacks on the Twin Towers via the Tok'ra, but did not have time to stop it, while investigating them, they learned of the impending disaster at the Pentagon. The moved the Daedalus from P4X-351 (that planet is worth an entire thread on its own) and used its Asguard Beaming Technology to transport the Naquida bomb out into deep space mere moments before it detonated. Even being beamed so far away, the Daedalus was damaded. A piece of it was sliced off and slammed into the Pentagon. Faked plane imagery was created to make it look like a plane smashed into the Pentagon.
I tell you this so you realize the truth behind the events on 9-11, and how we owe so much to so few from Stargate Command.
As an aside, Ba'al and all his clones were captured and put to death. The evil mastermind is gone forever.
