It was on, once again, on TBS. I really liked this movie. I thought it was a very well thought out plot and script. Also, on a side note, do you think that this is possible at all? "Is this possible" meaning have someone raised in a fake world, on a fake island... with fake people. Could it happen today? Would it be easy for the main character to find out that they are on TV?

I guess that it's possible IF you could find a really remote island and guard it so Truman couldn't escape and troublemakers couldn't interfere. No TV network in their right mind would build a massive 5 mile dome in the middle of LA for a TV show, though!

I suppose it would be possible, if the set wasn't in the US. I can't imagine it being legal otherwise.

great movie. kinda weird how everything goes wrong in one day though...the light falling from the sky, his car radio screwing up...etc.

Man I love that intro song. I can't find it anywhere. I found a lot of songs from the truman show soundtrack, but no intro song.

How does he discover that he is on TV and his world isn't real?

I don't know how you could hide the cameras so well. I wonder how it would work if Truman wanted kids.
