Leno is awesome.

I cannot for the life of me understand the appeal of Jay Leno. His monologue is terribly stale, his interviews consist of him telling celebrities how great they are, and that's pretty much the whole show.

Conan is good sometimes. And Triumph is brilliant. But he throws in too much retarded bullshit.

Leno is fantastic. It feels like he has a "smarter" humor; he's definitely witty, and saves guests all the time.

Yeah, that pretty well sums it up. Jay Leno isn't funny at all, but he has A-list guests.

So true. Leno gets A-list celebrities while Conan often has people who are literally in the same building. How many times has Conan had SNL people on the show? That show is in the same building.

I can't stand Leno. He's probably a really cool guy in real life, but I just hate his show. It's always conducted as if it were Good Morning America or some other crap show. Conan's show always has some kind of gimick, such as the coked up werewolf, the chuck norris lever, or his driving desk.

I'm an old fart...I've watched the Tonight Show since the Jack Parr days....all the way through Johnny Carson's reign...and though Leno's time...but when Conan takes over, I'll quit watching completely...I can't stand the guy. He's even less funny than Letterman.

You pretty much nailed it, everyone should stick where they're at. Actually I'm starting to lose interest in Conan- keeps wasting too much time on the show (like Letterman), like when he makes some goofy face while moving in an odd manner towards the camera. Does it every monologue, takes up time, never ever funny. Not sure if he always wasted time (hadn't much watched the show for the last 3-5 years), but he does it all the time nowadays.

The interviews I hardly ever watch, I hate celebrity bullshit (BTW, Larry King show 90% of the time = light night talk shows w/o the humor ).

Long as I'm here, I'd like to state that I prefer watching the first half hour of Leno to watching Steven Colbert. The Report ain't bad, but he was so much better when doing the field interviews for the Daily Show- made a complete ass out of both himself and the interviewee in a hilarious way, now he is too one sided. John Oliver is the new Steven Colbert (or should I say old)

O'Brian doesn't fit the job description. His show is funny and no one in the biz can't match his facial expressions or dramatized improvisation. The problem is that his jokes and skits are often more crude than what the Tonight Show is about. Conan would have to step his show down and I don't think it would work if he wasn't exactly like his is now.

Leno was a replacement for Carson. I think they need to find someone who is Carson-worthy rather than someone who is Leno-worthy. Whoever it will be will need to be funny without having to resort to the use of Cameltoe Annie, the masturbating bear and Triumph.
