The Time has finally come

IntelEnthusiast

Intel Representative
Well they say that all good things must come to an end and today I am sad to announce that my time as the “Official” representative to Enthusiast Space for Intel® is coming to an end. At the end of April I will be moving on to other opportunities within Intel. Since I am not into long good-byes let me keep this short and simple.

In the little over two years that I have been posting on these forums it has been a great time for me. There is an old saying about finding a job that you enjoy and you will never work a day in your life. Well I can tell you I have truly enjoyed being part of this community and helping out with my knowledge of Intel products. For all the knowledge of Intel products that I have been able to share; I have learned so much more from all of the great people here.

So officially I will be done on the last day of April and moving onto my new job. I think that I will continue to visit the boards from time to time and see if there are any questions I can answer in my time off but the official part of the job will soon be done. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this community and for allowing me to learn so much from you.

IDC, I didnt know where else to put this so if you need to move it be my guess.

good luck on your new opportunity ! 2 questions tho --

1) what are you going to be doing (if you can disclose)

2) who will be taking your place (if anyone?)

It is fine right here in CPU, Christian. No worries.

Congratulations on the new opportunities  You have been a uniquely valuable resource here in this community, as well as other communities across the web.

Not sure if folks are aware of your instrumental role in bringing the Intel performance tuning protection plan to fruition, but I have bought three of them (to date) and thanked you (in my mind) every time. Good stuff 🙂

Good luck, you will be missed!

I've got one last request, would be nice if you could try to get information on this... the Intel Technology Journal periodically published issues centered on the various aspects of the design and manufacture of Intel CPUs (P3, P4, 90nm P4, 45nm Core2, NHM/WST). However, there has been no such publication regarding SNB/IVB... which is really sad. Is it possible that the ITJ will cover these (or HSW/BRW), or has Intel discontinued the publication of such information?

Good luck on your new position.

Glad to see Intel trying to get a foothold in the social sub-community that is the "enthusiast" space 😉

Goodbye and thanks for all the fish!

Answers to your questions

1) I will be working with the Channel program (resellers). I did work with this group before I came on here.

2) I don't know. I am not part of that decision.

And thanks all the rest of you.

Thanks for your posts here. You were always professional, informative, and down to earth. For a corporate rep, you were surprisingly honest and even handed. Best of luck with everything.
