Ok well I'm gonna spend a lil time tonight trying to clean up the cables and tomorrow after I install the graphics card I'll be here with some more pics. Thanks for all the advice tonight.

First reply to this thread...

Yes, sounds like a normal SATA 3gb/s (= SATA II) cable. It will also work in SATA 6gb/s ports and with 6gb/s devices but of course bandwidth will be limited to 3gb/s.

No, there's nothing in the cable that determines 3Gb/s or 6Gb/s.

If you connect it to a 6Gb/s port, and a 6Gb/s device, it will TRY to do 6Gb/s. Depending on whether or not it is a high-quality cable, it will either work, or your HD will appear to be slow, and you will see a lot of "UltraDMA CRC Errors" in the drive's SMART data. (Those are interface errors.)

Ok going to continue cleaning the wires (I know it's messy) but I want to check if the BIOS will run first. I have a few more questions.

Picture Below - There is a few of these connectors, one was connected to my exhaust fan until I removed it. These came with the case. I noticed another one near another fan location. Are these wired through the case to power my fans?

ALSO I've noticed my my 3 socket fan connections aren't used. Are all the fans powered by my System Panel Connector?
* I did connect my H60 to a 3-pin connector and the radiator to my 4-pin CPU_FAN as directed.

Pictured Below - This connector came with the case. I have a HDD docking on the roof of my case. I was wondering if this had anything to do with that. I also had a SATA cable, which I've already connected so I can't figure out what this connector is or where it's supposed to go.

Additional info: My case is a NZXT H2 Classic Silent Chassis

This next question is about fan flow. I have 2 fans blowing in from the front. My PSU fan is turned down towards the ground. I removed the exhaust fan to add the H60. There is another one of the connection pieces from question one located near the bottom of the case. (Pictured Below) If it does indeed power the fan's, I was going to install the fan on the bottom. With the PSU next to it sucking from the bottom. And two fans in front of it blowing inward. Intaking air from the installed fan would really be the smartest thing to do, correct?

*** I promise! I'm going to clean those wires up before I shut the panels on this bad boy. I didn't spend that much money on a PC and attempt to build my own PC to have it look that shitty. I just want to make sure she runs first and then I'll clean her up.

After doing some research I think the 2nd question is a 3-pin molex. Connected to all of the connectors from question one. So if I connect the 3-pin molex to a 4-pin molex and plug it into the power. This should be whats used to run my case fans?

Those female 3-pin plugs (not Molex by the way) are where you can hook up your fans if you want them to be controller by the case's fan controller. If you have any fans hooked up to it, you need to have the molex coming from it plugged in.

Haha ya he's a co-worker, came over to see what I was doing with all those boxes coming into the office from TigerDirect :)

Only thing that sucks is I'm absolutely broke so now I can't afford any damn games, lol (If you want to send me Crysis 2, Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Total War (any), Civilization 5 via Steam, USERNAME: AmishFighter, feel free- lol)

This is my first post on anandtech on the new desktop. My laptop hasn't moved from the closet since the day she powered up!

Just wanted to give an official thank you once again for all the help guys.
