Yay an extra hour of sleeping. We should figure out a way to slow down the Earth's orbit so we can do this every few months.
 
I work 3rd shift, so consequently I get to work an extra hour tonight. And I'm not even sure I get to charge for it.

EDIT: And I forgot, I have to catch a flight to NY right after work. Yay for being awake for over 24 hours!

yeah, this is something that needs to die.

we don't have, and cave people here want it, so we are synchronized with other cave people.
 
just go back back a half hour and leave it there so we don't have to keep changing. Does it really matter to anyone besides vampires and those who do not have rods?
 
Or just everyone use GMT all the time. Yeah it might be odd for a while to have the sun rise at 14:00, but at least it's consistent.
 
For one week, the time difference between GMT and PST was only 7 hours.

I was confused trying to talk to my family because we are used to the 8 hour difference.

i would copy and paste it more for empahsis because the time change is ridiculous, but i didnt want to be that annoying...
 
I wish the time change stupidity was the biggest problem I had in my life. I got different things to worry about.

Wish you luck with getting it changed.
 
I hate not having any sunlight after work for a few months. Makes it that much more difficult to do anything productive outdoors after work.

If the southern hemisphere can adapt to having winter when it is supposed to be summer, and summer when it is supposed to be winter, then I think everyone can adapt to new sunrise changes.

I just want to point out that in my experience, I've noticed that half the people against daylight savings time have it backwards. They're against daylight savings time because they hate having it dark an hour sooner when they get out of work. Newsflash to those individuals: when we're NOT on daylight savings time is when it gets dark sooner. Daylight savings time gives you MORE time after work before it gets dark. And, overall, it saves energy in the US. (Something like 1.5 billion kilowatt hours.)

Someone above said it's for sports - I think that's close. It's better for people who aren't couch potatoes. If you go home from work and sit on the couch watching television, then I can understand why you're against DST.
 
It's an anachronism that needs to be removed. I am sure if somebody in congress pushed to get it finally stopped and locked down one way or the other most would support it.

It gives farmers that extra hour of sunlight for working. (main reason)

Studies have shown that it reduces the amount of traffic accidents in the evening since there is still daylight.

I agree that it can be annoying, but I know there are a lot of benefits and reasons for it; I had to do a research paper on DST in high school :awe:
 
Folks, think of the environment! Every DST change we save millions of barrels of oil and tons of natural gas and coal! Liberate Middle Eastern oil!
