Many of you are likely too young to have grown up watching ABC's Wide World of Sports, or remember the Munich Olympics, but Jim McKay was one of televisions pioneers and the face of Wide World of Sports and the Olympics for nearly 40 years.

It's days like these that make me realize how old I really am :frown: I was watching him for as long as I can remember until he retired.

I grew up with ABC's Wide World of Sports, too, on Saturday afternoons. RIP Jim...

I heard this the other day. Sad, but he did live to be 86...not bad.

Damn, that does make me feel old though..I remember watching him over 40 years ago on ABC's WWoS...
