I really really do not like his preacher type/style of speaking. when he is up on stage and doing his speech it feels like he is preaching to me and not talking to me. Like last night during his NH winners speach he got the whole audience repeating "YES WE CAN" just like they were AMENS on a sunday morning....

Blah.

Just like Huckabee with his guitar and fiery religious rhetoric.

The difference is that I see Obama as far more authentic.

what is the point of listening to him, his position on issues is clear
no?
the only other thing to listen for is inspiration or the "rock star" factor
if you don't need that, then there is no point

what is this, American Idol?

He's recognized as a fantastic orator by just about everyone. I think you're in the minority on this one. Last night's Yes We Can has already drawn I Have A Dream comparisons by more than one commentator. But I did think Edward's hits the populist notes better then his competitors. Romney is also a natural orator and somehow looks like a winner even when he's soundly beaten.

I love his preacher style speaking. Sounds and looks good, much much better than someone who tries preaching but has to look at cue cards every 5 seconds.

Romney is a used cars salesman. He can make a Yugo battered and flooded by Katrina look like a good deal.

So we have a whole thread on what amounts to public image on the campaign trail. And basically nothing on how they would govern, or reach consensus when elected with their fellow
politicians if elected, or even how realistic their political positions are?

haha. what idiotic commentators. MLK, Jr. was hypnotic with this speech. Obama nowhere near. He says he'll change things, and everyone's buying into it, but once he gets into office, all bets are off, just like the rest of these frauds.

freaking politicians, they all look and sound the same to me. please refrain from comparing a patriot like MLK, Jr. to these rich phonies.

I don't like Huckabee but he out qualifies Obama by such a wide margin its silly. Sorry, a governor is a far more important test of leadership ability than being a congressmen
