I was watching the shlock-fi movie Mega Shark versus Giant Octopus (I will post a review in another thread) and there were coming attraction for these movies.

You have to read carefully. Not Terminator but TerminatorS, not Tranformers but Transmorphers and not Dragon Slayer but Dragon Quest.

Then what's Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus playing off? My first thought was Eagle vs Shark, but that seems highly unlikely as that's a relatively unknown and low-budget NZ flick
