I'll put them into my Brinkman Pitmaster Pro smoker for 12 - 24 hours.
Then I'll eat some nice smoked salmon! And I'll vacuum pack the rest for later! ;)

I caught way too much salmon this year, I've got 200 lbs of fillets in the freezer, so I really need to start smoking some o that Coho!!

Oh my!! That does sound good. I haven't been fishing in so long. I've never fished for salmon, but I love to eat it!!!

I've been going to a little spot in SE Alaska for a week every summer over the past couple years. I took my older son in 2008 and my 11 year old son this year.

This year we came home with all that we could carry, 100 pounds halibut fillets and 200 pounds coho salmon.

I definitely caught more than that, but getting it through the ferry then the airlines is just a lot of work.

Still, I'm very happy with my deep freeze right now!
Man I'm going to have fun with that Brinkman Pitmaster Pro over the next few days!!!

Here's my Picasa album for this year:

Thanks for sharing your fishing trip album Rick! Awesome pictures! It looked like a very beautiful and fruitful (fish-ful) excursion.

Lack of sleep problems combined with a little sleep walking. Sushi and girlfriend are fine. :D I should start going to sleep before 3 AM since I have to wake up at 7 AM every morning...

Well, I'm going to pick up my parcel at UPS today. It seems they have changed their minds, and now they require security access and have mailed me a postcard (even though the driver was in the lobby on Friday and could have left a notice, AND I spoke with the depot on Friday and told them to dial the Superintendent for access). That's some world class incompetence. And I have to wait until 4:30 because you can only pick up your parcel during 2 two hour windows.

Newegg said I was getting "3 day delivery" and I paid extra for rush processing.
That was Friday morning.
Now I got the UPS tracking and they say they picked my stuff up today and will deliver it on Thursday.
Yeah, order on Friday morning and get the stuff Thursday afternoon.
Now that's some 3 day delivery for ya!

I guess this makes up for those times I've ordered from them and gotten my stuff next day or 2nd day without paying extra.

OTOH: They promised 3-day-delivery ... you should not pay extra for a 6-day delivery. :(
I usually give a internet store a call and a reclamation if and when they do noit deliver on time. Most of the times I got a part of the shipping costs refunded.

But that is here in Sweden, where the consumer rights are quite strong ...

I think they get around that by offering "free shipping" and saying it's 3 days but it ends up being 6 days and then what am I going to say "I want my shipping fee back"?
Ah well, best to just concentrate on my great fish experiments and accept the parts when they arrive.
Then quickly get them assembled and crunching!! ;)

I only get ground because I live close enough to every major California E-tailer that it comes in 1-2 days after shipping anyways.

NOTHING TO SEE? WHERE ARE THE STATS AND BEER?

Are you OK, FMC?

Yep, I'm fine--just very busy with school and work. The stats are at the top of the long list of stuff I have to do, and since I have to reprogram everything to do them (they are counted one at a time going down the list in this thread), it's going to take some time to get it setup.

I'm working on it... Even found beta drivers so I can do them at home. Now just a matter of getting to a point in homework that I can do them. :)

Top 5 producers = 73.65% of the thread.

And contrary to popular belief, + FMC != stats. It was a bottle of Bushmills this time.

I have a warm and dry place to live, adequate food and cigarettes, and enough electrricity to recharge my nose-hair trimmer.

I am a contented man!

Thanks FMC! Could it also be Limoncello + FMC = stats?

I have 420 posts. That's ominous. But at least I'm almost 25% of this thread. :p

No limoncello yet. Current batch is waiting on the second stage (filtering and adding of simple sugar). But soon I'll have ~30 bottles. :D

I would really like to try your limoncello someday... and I would like to try to make my own.
