Recently my office moved down the road from where we were recently located... In doing so, I noticed that we had a Taco Bell located fairly close by, which I never noticed was there. I really like Taco Bell, yeah I know it's not good for you but It tastes good and is cheap (specially with the Jimmy Fund $1 off value meals card!)
In any event, there is something awry at this Taco Bell Nexus. Strange occurances have occured every trip. Here is the chronicle of my story:
First trip to the TBN:
I drive up in my Crown Vic, and enter... The girl at the counter says to me "Did you just drive up in that Crown Vic?" I say: "yeah." She replies "I love those cars, cuz my name is Victoria" (pointing to her nametag)... at this point, for some reason I cant talk. I'm not usually tounge tied. I try to , it just doesn't happen. It's not like she was beautiful or something, I just couldn't talk. Finally I burst out saying "Uhh..um...uuhh... Yeah they're good cars! I'll have a...."
Second trip to the TBN:
Standing in line, I see a familar looking gentleman... Then I recognize him.. It's my friend's dad, who neither works nor lives anywhere near this TBN. He's just stopping by on the way to a client.
Third Trip:
It takes me literally 15 minutes to get into the parking lot, due to construction. Now that's pretty standard, except the workers were only shoveling gravel and sand onto the road, and moving the trucks forward slowly. By the time I left, they were out of the way.
Today (Fourth Trip):
I notice the long line waiting at the drivethrough and think nothing of it, it's noon they're busy. So what? I walk in and there isnt a line up to the counter, I order my food... then look around and noticed no one in the TBN are eating. They're all sitting with the white reciepts, waiting for their food. I wait for 30 minutes, then I hear on the radio Tom Petty's "The Waiting"
Oh what will transpire on my next trip! Should I continue or just push it aside and never return? I am frightened but drawn to it's strange power.... Pray for me.
