I re-installed windows XP on my C: drive. All my programs and games are on drive D: Problem is, i need the new install of windows to associate with these programs if you know what i mean. I put shortcuts from drive D: onto the desktop and many dont work it gives me "The operating system is not presently configured to run this application." Microsoft office XP gives that anyways, some games work. Is there a program out there that can fix it so windows recognises these programs exist so it will make associations and have them working??

most have registry settings. A repair or reinstall of the application is what is needed.
