The school calls me a hacker.
They say the website had a virus.
They Suspend me for 1 day in school
And give me 30 days in Gangsta's Paradise, aka Alternate learning center.

Then get this, I have to show the Assistant principle how to use a floppy disk while getting written up.

Anyone want to send their prayers while I fight the system?

Anybody in houston want to help?

Yeah...I'd threaten to sue them for false accusations unless you actually did something damaging.

Make them PROVE that you did something with criminal intent. And after they prove it, tell them that you want them to prosecute you in court. If they can't do that tell them to go fvck themselves.

Good point. I made this assumption that the prosecutors in this case are stupid people who don't know jack about computers... That's usually how it is with educational institutions... I know because I work for one.

yes, like maybe the "security" site was a hacking security site with code for script kiddies. Anyone visiting such a site with school computers deserves punishment for stupidity if nothing else.

Thanks guys! It was in fact, GRC.com thats the one, of all sites that they had problems with. I had my dad go in and go Rambo on them. Turns out that the district said that they werent being strict on their students, so they picked the smartest kid that they could find to set an example, and sentanced me for visiting a website, 1 days suspension and 30 days of ALC. The Assistant Principle found out that they Principle was just trying to set an example of me, and I think that she told off the principle from sending me to ALC, she was nice to me and even told my dad that she would have me as her child (pretty creepy). I have 2 days of suspension now and no ALC, only reason for suspension is that I dont come in there pissed and go Rambo on the school. Thanks for the support!

Their IT guy is dumb though, I snatched the copy of the report he got, you know how when those little Pcpitstop or GRC things come on and say, please turn off NAV because it may think its a trojan, he thought it was a trojan. In his own notes it said that NAV or any other Virus program may misrepresent this program as a virus or trojan, however this program is not a trojan or virus.

I dont hold any of yall that thinkin that I may have been doing somethin wrong, truth is, I hate virus's and trojans as much as the next guy, and I dont believe in anything that causes billions and billlions of dollars in damage to corporations or home users.

What exactly is gong on? Are they threatening criminal charges? If they are saying they will file criminal charges you will need to retain an Attorney, that will cost you at least $3,000 at a minimum.
I suggest the School look at freemcowen.com before they go further in filing criminal charges.

GRC.com is a legimate site that shows the weakness in the Computer system. Don't see how the School would have any basis against for you going to that site. Question is what everyone seems to be asking is anything else you may have done besides just visiting that website, did you download anything to any machines without having it specifically in writing from them that it is OK for you to download?
The above freemcowen.com website shows it is not even good enough to be an employee there and in charge of the machines, you must have in writing.

Did you know you can obtain a virus simply by visiting a website ? I've seen it happen and it was verified it came from a website... that college's website (who shall remain nameless) didn't know about it... but they were passing it on to many many visitors. This was about 6-12 months ago.

GRC.com may be a legitmate website, however their shields up! page features a port scanner that will set off alarms at some institutions.

Some people consider astalavista a "security" site though. :Q

See thats the point, they supposedly found some trojan, but then it says it blocked it, their own paper says, this is not a trojan. Im like wth...Im not allowed to get onto school computers till end of accademic school year...Pisses me off, but im not sure if I want to get on there, and have them try to blame me for something else.
