The surprising (to me) world of Yahoo Answers

Over the last week or so I've been browsing Yahoo Answers, particularly the Credit and Personal Finance categories. The deal is that you can ask a question then anyone who wants to can post an answer. You can only respond once to a question and this allows the totally uninformed of the world to post completely wrong answers without worrying about getting owned by others.

The popular questions seem to be these, in one form or another...
- How can I make a lot of money on the Internet without buying anything and without getting scammed?
- How do I make a lot of money fast and easy?
- I have bad credit and no cosigner - where can I get a loan?
- I can't get a loan, who will give me money?
- How can I make $500 in three days?

I haven't looked, but it wouldn't surprise me if there is someone who has posted ALL of those questions, in that order, a few days apart. And there's also plenty of completely unintelligible questions like "If there is still some miscellaneous to be paid, will it cost allot?" (with no additional explanation)

Most questions are replied to by multiple different spambots posting links to ad sites. The majority of the other answers are outright wrong. It's a wasteland.

Conclusion: There are a large number of people who have no clue about their finances. NO clue.

Makes me appreciate how many people here not only share good info, but point out when someone else has given bad advice.

Well you're going to a site where people are seeking help. If you go to a site where people are making money, you'll probably think that everybody on the internet is getting rich.

That babby formed video reminds me of the one narrated break-up video (from a Craigslist posting?).
