That would honestly be incredibly stupid, because the burger pattie is literally the healthiest thing in a fast food bag.

The fries, burger buns, and big gulp soda are hands down worse. It's not even a discussion.

Meat is actually incredibly healthy. It's the other shit people pair with it that makes it unhealthy.
GTFO.

just kidding. 😀

Can't recall, what's Burger King call their veggie patty? Wonder how well those will sell going forward? Or even the frozen ones you can get at the store.

It's called the Impossible Whopper, and it's the same price as the regular Whopper now. I'm not sure if the Impossible Whopper went down in price, or if the regular Whopper went up. Probably a mix of both.

I did a thread on this awhile back. You really can't tell the difference between the two if you load your Whopper up with the usual toppings.

Interesting just realized I have no actual idea what a regular price Whopper actually goes for. Have not ordered off anything except the "Deals" menu in years.

And I like the real meat Whopper a bit better myself.

EDIT: Just looked at the app ... beef burger "A La Carte" is $5.19 and Impossible is $6.19. Reminds me why I only look at the deals/coupons!

Funny... the burger/fry/soda combos for both Whopper types were the same price the last time I visited. They are $9, though... Connecticut isn't cheap.

tbh that's really my only serious complaint about living here. I love everything about it - it's beautiful, it has decent beaches, quick access to NYC & Boston, minimal natural disasters, etc. It's just stupid expensive to live here. Like, I found the perfect house last year, but the property taxes were as much as the mortgage lol.

I don't know what kind of assistance programs DC has been pushing out to farmers. But if it's as meager as the support I've heard about for regular working people, they're completely fucked.

And btw, I think we should stop calling them "farmer." It sounds sweet and innocent. But we don't really have actual farmers any more. Sure, a lot of people are still holding on, and you have to admire that. But this time next century, the only place you'll find a farmer is in a history book.

But I digress.

The thing is though, we're being set up for multiple fuckups down the road. Farmers kill dairy cows and butcher them. That fixes the immediate problem, but what happens when you, IDK, maybe need dairy cows.

We also see the same sort of thing happen with our pointless trade "war" with China. Soy farmers had no where to sell billions of tons of product to anyone. The price crashes and you can't give the shit away. That means that since the price is so low, many farmers will have to switch crops. Beyond that, there's virtually no chance of the Chinese business coming back. That's going to put a lot of people out of business

Dairy cows are slaughtered when their production eventually drops, but they are way too tough for most people for steaks/roasts, they are processed into ground beef or pet food. I was a plant once where they processed dairy cows into fresh Wendy's patties, Wendy's will not use frozen patties. Yea, any hope of a trade deal is gonna be fucked now since Trump is looking to blame China for everything and he's having numb-nuts Pompeio slam the Chinese in public.

The combo/deal stuff is the same price @ $8.99 but for whatever reason for just the burger Impossible is $1 more.

Of course at my local McDonald's the 10 piece McNugget's is the same price as the 20 piece ...?
