Sonic Generations comes out next Friday. Anyone else excited? I just finished playing the new PS3 demo and it genuinely put a smile on my face. Rare that a game does that. Just a flood of wonderful nostalgia.
Will this break the Sonic cycle? I hope so, but...
Couple of things I noticed in Classic Sonic mode
-Is the frame rate only 30fps? Really needs to be 60.
-Bad jumping mechanics fixed from Sonic 4, but rolls still loose momentum too quickly.
-Not a heck of a lot of platforming here. The original Sonic really wasn't about raw speed.
Modern Sonic mode is very cool though. Very nice level design. Game looks fantastic.
I might get this one on PC instead of console. No frame rate cap, hopefully. Should be able to hit that luscious 60fps. For those who are interested, minimum PC requirements are as follows.
