I don't care if this has been discussed elsewhere...this preposterous offer deserves its own thread. WTF??? The first one didn't go bad enough??

Is the WH (including Trump) TRYING to get impeached??? Are they taking whatever measures necessary for McConnell and Ryan to take action? Seems like GOP Congress is like, "don't care, you're staying put until Kavanaugh's confirmed!"

Also, check out DNI Dan Coats' reaction when asked about it at the Aspen Security Forum:

That reaction is priceless. Actually it has a price tag. The price is... your country, and the whole western alliance with it.
I dont know, maybe Mueller can slap the cuffs on both of them at the sime time? *shrugs*

I still find it mind-boggling that Trump is allowed to NOT release ANY year of his tax returns. in the name of our security this HAS to change.

The Dotard just wants to bring his boss over for dinner. I'm sure they'll just eat Big Macs and talk about golf.

So it looks to me like Trump had his secret meeting with Putin in part to get detailed instructions from Putin to put on a more open meeting back here in the States where Putin canl REALLY lay down the bullshit thick and smack dab at Trump's supporter's feet and have them slurp it all up. This Russian choreographed show should be really interesting to watch. It's about time that Putin returns a favor to Trump but in the end it's only truly Putin that benefits from having Trump serve two terms. Whoohoo. Yay.

I hope it goes as well as Trump's glowing review of his just completed meeting with Putin in Helsinki. /s

I chuckle a bit whenever I envision the bulk of Trump's supporters with their thumbs stuck in their ears and their fingers covering their eyes while endlessly screaming to the heavens "nyah nyah nyah blibble blibble blub blub" in order to ignore all of this insane shit that Trump is humiliatingly acting out on the world stage. Seems to work well too seeing as if a majority of Repubs approve of the way Trump handled his Summit with Putin. This is not only fvcking unreal, it's surreal. The only way around the hard facts of the matter that Trump made a complete traitorous ass of himself at Helsinki is their having voluntarily induced delusional denial for the sake of "keeping the faith". A couple of links for starters:

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...9/trump-helsinki-summit-poll-putin/804842002/

https://slate.com/news-and-politics...s-handling-of-russia-even-after-helsinki.html

That so many Repubs approve of Trump's behavior and actions with this whole Helsinki secret meeting with Putin is way beyond what anyone would consider "a rational decision making process". It's like they're seeing this Helsinki meeting with the derangement they're now laughably accusing the Democrats of.

It all smacks of fire sale hysteria driven by desperation, hopelessness and deep frustration at how Trump is rightfully being called out, fact checked and debunked every time he utters another one of his daily/hourly blatant lies. If they would only come to grips with the reality that their Chosen One is damaged beyond repair and totally compromised by a foreign power who seeks to destroy our way of life here in the USA they'd be so much better off mental health-wise.

I turned on Fox tonight and they were very wound up about Clinton’s emails and how democrats used to be pro Russian but now that Trump is trying to improve relations with them suddenly the Russians are monsters. They also laugh about M Waters as the democratic message. They look forward to Biden or Clinton running.

Fox News are hypocrites.

For one, they blasted Obama as weak when he met with Putin. Said hardly anything of Trump during that disgraceful meeting this week. Could you also imagine if Obama wanted an hour of alone time with Putin? Both Republicans and Fox News would be livid.

But really, the sad part is taking the side of the Russians over your fellow Americans. We might see things differently, both Republicans and Democrats But, we're Americans. What is happening is exactly how countries fracture and fall apart. The real winner are the enemies of America.

I hadn't considered this despite considering the possibility that he didn't want to get elected in the first place. Maybe a candidate for the 21st Century version of "The Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin"?

I am wondering what next though, perhaps Trump will offer Putin his presidential powers for a day, and Trump fanatics will say "what's the worst that could happen?", and even just the offer/suggestion of an offer will likely result in claims of "nothing happened".

Trump still thinks his meeting and the press conference was a success. He's in Putin's pocket somehow for sure, all that remains is finding out how and to jettison this turd (in any order).

Its time for the media on the left to declare war on Fox. As Fox is already waging a proxy war on "fake news" media not Fox (or breitbart or infowars or sinclair) as Trumps state TV.
Why the hell is the "fake news" media of the world not fighting back on this cult? They need to unite too, get their heads out of their collective asses and realize they are at war.

The Ringling Bros, Barnum & Bailey circus had to close down, due to the brisk competition from the White House. Everyday is a show for free, folks. The good news is, no animals were harmed. :D
