OK. So there was this girl in my school who was the popular, I'm smart, look at me, but everyone hates me kind. It was about a week before the Gore-Bush elections (you all remember how much THAT was covered in the news) and we were at a review class for Calculus. She said, "Hasn't Bush already been president?" After much ridiculing, even by the teacher (who was laughing so hard she was crying) she defends herself by saying "What? I don't watch the news!!" It was hard to believe someone could be that uninformed. Needless to say, in the week that followed, she didn't go a day without getting a quiz by us on current affairs She now attends a major university. Guess she didn't put that scandal in her application essay. HOW ABOUT YOU? Who's the stupidest person you know and why??

The other day i told someone in my CS clan that i was from Nashville. They asked me if it was in Kansas. That was funny.

Last year we explained the rules of the game "The Mole" to one of my roommates. After explaining all the rules he asked "What if they kick the mole off?"

The sad thing is he holds almost a 4.0 in Electrical Engineering and is in his junior year. He is one of those smart people that has absolutely no common sense.

I work with controls for electric vehicles. One day one of our PHD bearing (4.0 no doubt) idiots got

himself a buzz when he touched a capacitor on a HV Inverter that hadn't been fully discharged.....

I asked if he was OK (trying not to laugh at the moron) and "what happened?"

He pointed to the capacitor bank and shocked himself again............
