This is insanely fcked up. I don't know what's worse though, what they did to your uncle or the fact that you're not going to do anything about it...

I dont see how that PoA is valid expecially with her being on a morphine drip. not to mention her husband is still alive and unless they are divorced which they werent no PoA has the power to come into a house and clean it out.

the police need a good slap by the media on this. send the story to every network and local station, also send it to every investigative show lie 48hours, 20/20, 60 minutes...

It would be inappropriate for me to interfere in his personal business. But trust me, my opinion is being heard by people who are more close to the situation, to whom is is appropriate for me to give advice for passing on.

How would you feel if a distant relative you didn't really know that well took a sudden interest in your personal business and did things without your permission? That's what it would be, for me to personally contact the media.

*shrug* I'm doing what I can.

I know, when my mom first told me what was going on, I told her that it sounded like a story she made up.

That's some pretty low-life sh!t. I think if I were in your great-uncle's shoes and if I were fit enough at that age, I'd go hunt the bastards down and end their lives. I mean, what the hell, at that age I'm living on borrowed time anyway, so I'd make those miserable rats pay for fscking up the last days of my wife's life and fscking with me in my old age.

hey. maybe if you contact as many media groups as possible and get the story published and whatnot, they can help your uncle with getting his money back without having to pay for legal fees (i know fox5 has something like that - "fox5 on your side", i think)....

if this was three years later i would help you out man!!

Forget about manners, and saying that it is not your place.

Think about the good that you can do, and realize that even if your uncle gets mad at you or whatever, you will be helping him.

I'm really sorry to hear about that Bryophyte. My g/f has family members who would probably pull something like that. There's a special place in hell for people like that.

Hope your Great Uncle gets it sorted out.
