Well it?s done; I built a stone wall and covered a chimney for a friend who was remolding his house.
Just thought I would show it off and see what you guys think?

BTW I have never done stone before, Im a painting contractor. I took 6000lbs of stone Worked almost every night for 4 weeks

The Wall

Not bad at all, the pointing on the side of the chimney could be a little better.

Nice job,

The joints are a little too deep for me, but whatever you and your friend like is what matters.
Oh, and did you shape any of the stone yourself, or did you just piece it together. Just wondering cause when I worked with my dad on some construction sites there was one guy who pretty much wanted only square stones and he shaped everything himself, it's pretty amazing, and hard work, and great job one more time.
