The Steam customer service UI is terrible

A pet peeve of mine in automated customer service systems is overly limited categories you're forced into with no 'other' option. Steam does that.

They have a 3 game bundle; it shows I own one of the three and prices it for the other 2. So far so good. I checked one of the 2 in my humble bundle key list and found yes, I own 2 unused keys for it, so used one, and refreshed steam. It still shows I don't own the game in the bundle.

So I went to the store page for the game; it says 'already in your library', and below that shows the bundle, where it STILL shows it as not owned, only the third game as owned like before.

There's nothing about such an error in Steam categories. So I go to open a ticket.

Since there's nothing even close, I pick 'purchase'. It puts me on a screen that forces 'retail key problem' as the topic. I hit next, and it pulls up a list of games and I have to pick one, so I pick the first on the list. I explain all this in the ticket - and when I complete it, it says 'you already have a ticket open for this issue, you can't open another'.

Because I have a ticket open from a couple weeks ago on another issue. It's a horrible UI. Not the first time it's been like this. They've never improved it after years of being told to. And then they'll spend a week without replying...

I guess I could go on.

While going through this, it showed me a purchase history, and after they refunded a game I had a steam wallet balance, and bought more games and it charged me the difference - but in the purchase history, it shows entries for each game with the steam wallet amount grayed out with a line through it saying 'failed' and then a line to credit card for the full amount, though it did apply the credit.

I feel for you!! I feel your pain!!
But why does Steam need to change? It has not affected their bottom line!
Until it affects there bottom line you could say they don`t really care!!
